About Me

I have been working as a massage therapist for the past 14 years and have been fortunate to meet a variety of people that enjoy sports and maintaining their bodies.  I grew up in Hawaii, was always outdoors, loved riding horses and playing sports.  While  I loved for the outdoors and activities Hawaii offered me it never occurred to me to take care of my health or body. This ultimately lead me down a path of injuries and pain.  There was a time when general thinking was that massage and body maintenance were for spas.   As science catches up with luxury, we now know the extreme importance of massage and body care for every activity.  

I have had the privilege of working with our professional football team in the area for the past 13 years.  Every season I learn something new about the body and injuries.  However, even as top athletes perform at high levels, even some of them are unaware of how important it is to maintain their bodies at all times.   

I am a firm believer that a combination of massage, chiropractic care and exercise can help keep the body in homeostasis, in balance.  We continue to take the body out of that balance with our life style and daily activities. 

 

Throughout my career I've taken numerous classes to enhance my knowledge and add skills to my toolbox.  I approach every person individually when I first meet and speak to them. I often meet new clients who are suffering from knee pain for example and they may have tried several ways to treat it before turning to massage,  only to discover that the knee pain was being caused by the muscles surrounding the knee not firing.  But massage isn't just about healing its about prevention and that" what motivates me working with my clients every day.
